20-07-2013 On July 19th morning, the Ministry of Transport and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province held the groundbreaking ceremony for the project of upgrading National Highway 15, section passing Thanh Hoa province (Subproject 2 - section to avoid flooding at Hoi Xuan hydropower). Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were the Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Trinh Van Chien, Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho. HANOI - HAI PHONG HIGHWAY PROJECT

Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Project is the first highway project in Vietnam built in the form of BOT type A according to highway standards. The total length of this route is about 105.5 km, with the starting point on Ring Road 3 - 1,025 m from Thanh Tri bridge foot (Hanoi), ending point at Dinh Vu dam, Hai Phong city.

Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway links the southern suburban ring road of Ho Chi Minh City and is a short part of the North-South expressway in Vietnam. It will link with the Ho Chi Minh City - Vung Tau expressway, as part of the GMS (Greater Mekong Subregion) economic corridor route from Bangkok to Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau.

STARTING METRO LINE NO. 1 HCMC (BEN THANH - SUOI TIEN)

This package is the first item implemented among 4 construction and installation packages of the electric train project, which will be built by the joint venture between Sumitomo and Cienco 6 for more than 4 years. Along the 17.5 km elevated railway line, there will be 11 stations. Total investment is 62.5 billion yen (equivalent to 15,300 billion VND). In addition, the project also has a contract to build 2.2 km underground with 3 underground stations (District 1). Station 6 (Thao Dien) will connect directly to Thao Dien Pearl by a short flyover.

LACH HUYEN PORT INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Located along the connected area of Hai Phong city, on the same northern coast of Vietnam and Hanoi capital, there are many foreign businesses contributing to the region's development. In which, the main ports supporting commercial activities include: Hai Phong port, Cai Lan port. These two ports have received JICA loan support for rehabilitation and construction of expansion works. In addition, these two ports also have plans to develop and expand in the future, the container clearance at the combined port will remain at 40 million tons. On the other hand, according to statistics, the demand for containerized goods in northern Vietnam will reach 42 million tons in 2015 and will continue to increase to 59 million tons by 2020 at a growth rate corresponding to the economic growth rate. So if there is no expansion plan, it will be difficult for these two ports if the volume of cargo is increasing.
