GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY OF PROJECT UPGRADING NATIONAL HIGHWAY 15, SECTION PASSING THANH HOA PROVINCE

National Highway 15 has an important position and role in connecting traffic between the western mountainous districts of Thanh Hoa province with Hoa Binh, Son La provinces, and Laos through National Highway 6, National Highway 12B, National Highway 217, and Ho Chi Minh road.
This project is 23.5km long, with a total investment of 992 billion VND from the state budget. The project is built on a mountain scale level 3, with roadbed width Bn = 9m, road surface width Bm = 8m, 2-layer asphalt concrete pavement with drainage system and road traffic safety system.
At the groundbreaking ceremony of the project, Mr. Trinh Van Chien - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee asked departments and districts that the project goes through to focus on site clearance, ensuring the handover of clean premises to construction units on time as committed. Districts must ensure social order and security in the area to better serve the project progress.
On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Transport, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho asked Project Management Unit 3 to use the investment capital effectively, as for construction contractors and consultants, to urgently arrange human resources, finance, equipment, and machines to implement the project to ensure quality, on schedule, safety in production and environmental protection.

Traffic clearance at Do Len railway bridge
In the afternoon, the Ministry of Transport also held a ceremony to open the Do Len railway bridge and attached a sign to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. Do Len bridge and southern railway overpass of Do Len bridge under the CP1B package of Project on improving the safety of railway bridge in Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh city route.
According to the investor of Vietnam Railway Corporation, this is a particularly important project in improving safety and shortening the journey of the national arterial railway. The whole project includes 5 construction and installation packages, which will restore 44 railway bridges and related works. The project goes through 15 provinces from Nam Dinh to Binh Thuan and is funded by ODA loans from the Japanese Government.
Speaking at the traffic opening ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho emphasized that the opening of the Do Len railway bridge and the 40th-anniversary signboards of the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Japan are contributing significantly to promoting cooperation between the Government of Vietnam and Japan, demonstrating the friendly relationship between the two countries that are increasingly strong.
