Project: Major Repair of Tan Thuan 1 Bridge
Tan Thuan 1 Bridge is located on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street connecting District 4 – District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. The bridge organizes for one-way traffic of all types of vehicles in the direction of traffic from District 7 to District 4.
The current status of the main longitudinal beam, top of the vertical bar – the diagonal bar, and the collar beam of the steel arch span at some truss nodes are rusted, heavily damaged by corrosion. In particular, some locations have been corroded and rusted, leading to the breakdown of the truss bar and the loosening of the gusset plate (temporarily maintained and repaired in 2020).
Purpose of renovation works:
- Repairing the damage, reinforcing to maintain the ordinary operation of the bridge;
- Ensure traffic safety for vehicles traveling on the bridge;
- Does not affect the existing structure (does not cause adverse disturbance to existing structure);
- Protect the structure from the corrosion effects of the environment;
Inspect and re-evaluate the exploitability of the bridge after renovation (separate consulting package).
