Construction for repair of Cai Tư Bridge at Km51+974, National Highway 61, Hau Giang Province
Cai Tu Bridge connects Go Quao district (Kien Giang) and Vi Thanh town (Hau Giang). The main bridge length is 514m, the approach road is 812m, and the bridge width is 12m. The bridge was inaugurated in December 2006.
The current status of the bridge is damaged in some categories: bearings, expansion joints, and roads at both ends of the bridge. This deterioration caused traffic insecurity. According to Decision No. 629/QD-CQLDB IV dated April 26, 2021, the Road Administration Department IV assigned Vinh Hung JSC to carry out the repair & replacement work of the bridge bearings and expansion joints, tilting the bridge end slope, and conduct monitoring reports.

Vinh Hung Scope of Work
- Replace finger expansion joints with a total displacement of 140 mm
- Replace elastomeric bearings and pot bearings
- Repair cracks, reinforce super-T girders and balanced cantilever prestressed concrete (PC) box girders
- Measure the camber of balanced cantilever PC box girders
- Monitor settlement and displacement of bridge piers and balanced cantilever PC box girders
- Ensure traffic safety and control during construction
