Description project

The intersection of Thong Nhat road, Viet Bac road and Hanoi – Thai Nguyen railway is an important intersection connecting Thai Nguyen city to Ha Noi – Thai Nguyen expressway. Currently, this is an intersection that traffic lights control and coordinate transportation.

In purpose of addressing the traffic jam in the intersection now and in the future, specially after the second phase of Viet Bac road and the extended North – South route, prioritizing high flow of vehicle in Thong Nhat road, the design solution for the intersection was divided into 2 phases:

Phase 1: Extending Thong Nhat’s intersection corners and building a road crossing the railway, trimming sidewalks for road construction to ensure traffic, moving and undergrounding the technical infrastructure system, constructing a drainage system 2 sides of Thong Nhat Street; Construction of a road that collects on both sides, with 01 lane for motor vehicles and 01 lane for mixed traffic on each side.

Phase 2: Construction of an underpass along Thong Nhat road with a width of 02 lanes for motor vehicles and 02 lanes for mixed traffic; manholes complete construction; pavement return construction
