Description project
The Nguyen Van Cu bridge crosses Tau Hu Canal, Doi Canal which connects District 5, District 8, District 1, District 4 of Ho Chi Minh City located on the Tran Hung Dao, Duong Ba Trac, Ben Van Don. The bridge has three branches connecting District 4 and another branch connecting District 5 and District 8 and District 1.
November 24, 2016. The Department of Transportation commenced two bridges linking Nguyen Van Cu Bridge with Vo Van Kiet Avenue. On June 29, 2017, the two bridges linking Nguyen Van Cu Bridge with Vo Van Kiet Boulevard are inaugurated. The Nguyen Van Cu bridge construction project has a total budget of VND153 billion, commenced on November 29, 2016, scheduled to be completed after 12 months.
After the inauguration, the construction units will continue to build auxiliary works such as renovation embankment Tau Hu canal about 533 m, construction of water drainage system, planting trees ... The Nguyen Van Cu Bridge has two new branches viewing from above. The two new bridges after the inauguration will contribute to reducing congestion the black - intersection Tran Hung Dao - Nguyen Van Cu and the central area of Ho Chi Minh City.
