Description project
The Ho Chi Minh City Urban Metro Project is a project to build an urban railway system in Ho Chi Minh City. The master plan was proclaimed in February 2001 and predicted to be completed by 2020.
Although construction date as planned was in 2005, but in March 2005, the city was still planning. To meet the demand for transportation in Ho Chi Minh City, several subway and monorail projects was being planned such as Ben Thanh - Bien Hoa, Ben Thanh - Western Bus Station, Ben Thanh - Tan Son Nhat - An Suong. These projects were being submitted invesment solutions by foreign partners such as (Japan, France, Russia, and Germany).
