Description project

The Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Bac Kan Expressway (coded CT 07), the official name on the documents of the state agency is National Highway 3 is one of six expressways which planned construction in the North of Vietnam. The route was started by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on November 24, 2009.

The route goes through four provinces: Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan and a short section of Bac Ninh province. The Ha Noi - Bac Kan Expressway is 34.5 meters wide and 63.8 kilometers length. The route has a capacity of 4 lanes and a design speed of 100 km/h. The total investment capital of the project (Ha Noi - Thai Nguyen section) is VND8,104 billion, of which the ODA fund of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is VND 6,093.1 billion and the counterpart fund of the Government of Vietnam VND311.3 billion is expected to be completed by 2013.
