Gia Rai Bridge – Bac Lieu Province

On February 15, 2012, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu Province organized a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Gia Rai Bridge. The investor of the project is the Transport Department of Bac Lieu province, the construction unit is the Corporation Traffic Construction Work 4 (Cienco 4) under the Ministry of Transport.

This project is considered as the lifeblood of provincial road 980 and the Ho Phong - Ganh Hao route because it connects from National Highway 1A to Ganh Hao coastal economic zone and Dong Hai town. It is also the Ho Chi Minh Highway to connect from Highway 63 to Quan Lo - Phung Hinh Street, from the coastal road to the east coast through the Ganh Hao port with the shortest distance. Lai Bridge is one of the largest and longest bridges in Bac Lieu province, with a total length of 4,883.8m, in which the length of the main bridge is 654.8m, the length of the two bridges is 4.229m, with Maximum speed of 80km / h, maximum weight of 12 tons, total investment of 469 billion.

The bridge is expected to be completed in 18 months. After the project is completed, it will contribute to the congestion flow in Gia Rai Bridge, to connect the straight line between Ganh Hao - Gia Rai - Pho Hao with the Ho Phong - Ganh Hao route. Develop Gia Rai into an urban area, and develop Ganh Hao economic zone in the future.
