Description project

The construction of the Cau Dai bridge across the Thu Bon river was kicked off on August 30 in the Quang Nam province with the participation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. "This is a very important bridge for the socio-economic development of Quang Nam province," the Prime Minister stressed at the ceremony, praising the local people who gave their land to build the bridge. Until now this is the largest investment project in the region. Estimated total investment cost for the bridge is nearly 2,500 billion.

Cua Dai bridge is designed to have a total length of 18.3 km, including 1.48km across the Thu Bon River. After completion, the bridge will become a strategic transport route for Quang Nam province in particular and the central region in general.

This bridge is part of the Government's transnational coastal road project. Efforts are being made to establish a cross-regional transport corridor linking the cost center of Quang Nam with the center of Da Nang City, Hoi An Ancient Town and nearby major economic zones.
