Description project
The project is funded by grants from the Australian Government, loans from the Asian Development Bank and counterpart funds of the Government of Vietnam with a total construction cost of about VND 7,500 billion.
Cao Lanh Bridge and Cao Lanh bridge - Vam Cong bridge linking route belong to the project connecting the central Mekong delta area from Kien Giang via Dong Thap Muoi to Ho Chi Minh City. Once put into operation and use, the project will connect the two banks of the Tien River in Dong Thap province, meeting the expectations of many people in the Mekong Delta in general and the people of Dong Thap in particular.
The project is connected with the existing N2 road, the Lo Te - Rach Soi route is under construction, forming an important traffic axis connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the southwestern provinces, step by step forming North - South highways as in the highway network planning approved by the Prime Minister to develop the socio-economic development and enhance the defense and security maintenance of the Mekong delta area.
