Project Description:

Bach Dang bridge project, the approaching road and the ending intersection were started on 02/25/2015.

The project is implemented in the form of BOT with a total capital of 7.760 billion dong by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province and joint venture corporations XDCTGT1 (Cienco1), Phuc Loc Corporation, Cai Mep Investment JSC. Cuong Thinh Thi Construction Joint Stock Company, Cong Thanh Traffic Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company, Phuong Thanh Investment Construction and Transportation Joint Stock Company, Trung Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, SE Group (Japan).

Project scale is permanently built by reinforced and prestressed concrete, the main bridge is 3.054km long, 25m wide, designed 4 lanes, maximum speed 100km/h, static width 250m, 48.4m high with earthquake resistant level VIII. The bridge has three pylons (towers between 99.74m high, two tower towers 94.5m high with four cable-stayed spans, two main spans 250m long, two spans 100m long). The path to both sides of the bridge is 2,357 km long.

This is one of the two component projects of the Ha Long - Hai Phong Expressway. The bridge construction will help improve the highway along the coastal axis of the northern coastal area, complete the route connecting the economic triangle Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh. The distance from Ha Long to Hanoi is reduced from 180 km to 130 km; Travelling distance from Ha Long to Hai Phong is reduced to be just 25 km.

The project was implemented in Lien Vi Commune, Quang Yen Town, Quang Ninh Province. With a length of 5.4 km, width of 25m, the bridge is designed with four lanes for vehicles’ running speed at a maximum of 100 km / h. The bridgehead is connected to the road linking Ha Long City and the ending point is connected to Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway in Dinh Vu Industrial Zone. After completion of the project, it will contribute to the expansion of the trade, export and import of goods in the North of Vietnam with the world, promoting economic development in the northern key region. The project also contributes to improve traffic infrastructure in the Red River Delta, reduce traffic pressure for National Road No. 18 and Highway 10.
