VINH HUNG “LOCALIZES” NOISE BARRIER TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS

Noise barrier products manufactured at the Vinh Hung IP Factory help reduce reliance on imports, shorten delivery times, and enable strict quality control.

As urban areas and expressways continue to expand, the need to minimize noise pollution has become increasingly urgent. Since 2023, Vinh Hung’s Product Research & Development (R&D) Department has proactively conducted in-depth research into materials, detailed structures, technical and quality standards for noise barriers – a technology solutions designed to reduce noise levels affecting surrounding areas such as densely populated neighborhoods, hospitals, and schools.

By 2025, the company had completed its research roadmap and commenced production of noise barrier products at the Vinh Hung IP Factory in Hung Yen, contributing to reduced import dependence, shorter delivery times, and tighter quality control of final output.

Sound-Absorbing Noise Barriers

This product line consists of sound-absorbing materials such as polyester or mineral wool placed inside a metal alloy frame, typically made from galvanized steel or aluminum sheets with a thickness of 1.0–1.6 mm. The front face of the panel is perforated to optimize sound absorption and prevent reflection back toward the source.

The sound absorption coefficient complies with KS F4770 standards. Specifically, the average absorption rate of panels, in finished form prior to installation, is over 70% for sound frequencies of 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz. Transmission Loss (TL) is also above 25 dB at 500 Hz and above 30 dB at 1000 Hz.

The product meets international sound absorption standards (ISO 354, ASTM C423, EN 1793) and sound insulation standards (ISO 10140, ISO 140, ASTM E90, ISO 717-1, EN 1793).

Sound-Reflecting Noise Barriers

Sound-reflecting noise barriers are made from transparent materials with excellent sound insulation properties such as Polycarbonate (PC), Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA), or tempered glass, offering high durability and strong weather resistance. The frame is made from extruded aluminum profiles, manufactured in various cross-sectional sizes (as per design) and compliant with ISO 6362 standards.

This product line is suitable for areas where urban aesthetics must be preserved while still achieving TL > 25 dB at 500 Hz and TL > 30 dB at 1000 Hz, in accordance with KS F4770 standards.

The product’s sound insulation performance complies with ISO 10140, ISO 140, ASTM E90, ISO 717-1, and EN 1793 standards.

Vinh Hung noise barriers, meeting international standards, are manufactured on modern production lines and subject to strict quality control at every stage of production.

Vinh Hung-branded noise barrier products have already been applied in major expressway projects such as Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot and Bien Hoa – Vung Tau.

Domestic production enables Vinh Hung to significantly shorten supply times, ensure construction schedules, and maintain strict output quality control. This is a particularly critical factor in the current context of accelerated public investment in infrastructure projects, where strict adherence to deadlines is essential.
