VIETNAM HAS THE FIRST FACTORY TO PRODUCE ANCHORS, EXPANSION JOINTS AND BEARINGS

Today (May 6th), Vice Minister of Transport Nguyen Nhat inaugurated the first factory in Vietnam to manufacture post-tensioned anchors, bridge bearings and expansion joints.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Minister of Transportation Nguyen Nhat said: "The Ministry of Transport's point of view is to support the the domestic enterprises to produce and localize their products to serve for transport infrastructure projects".

On the basis, Vice Minister Nguyen Nhat suggested the bureaus, departments, institutes and related agencies under the Ministry of Transport to research and and bring the products of domestic enterprises into transport and traffic projects to reduce construction costs, investment. "This is totally fit the trend of the campaigns, calls of the Government in recent years to make Vietnamese goods to be in priority. The latest Direction 13 on 4/4/2017 of The Prime Minister is the enhancement of using of domestic products in the bidding for development investment projects and regular procurement activities using the country capital, " said Mr. Nhat.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Ministry of Transport expressed the desire to continue to promote Vinh Hung investment in science and technology and strengthen cooperation with the leading units of foreign countries ... to have more and more good-quality products. low cost, to serve the transport infrastructure in Vietnam.

Earlier, Mr. Vo Ta Luong, General Director of Vinh Hung Trading, Consulting and Construction Company said that Vinh Hung factory was built on an area of 15,000 m2 with more than 7,000 m2 of workshop. "This is the first factory in Vietnam to manufacture prestressed anchors, bridge bearings and expansion joints for the civil and industrial construction market, The ISO 9001: 2008 quality management system is certified by Bureau Veritas and is in the process of developing an Environmental Management System ISO 14001: 2015 certified by national organizations. Vinh Hung's factory was established with the orientation of replacing import, and strengthening export to the international market. Vinh Hung is committed to uphold the principle of product quality and services to the top and will maintain with the same longevity of the business." Mr. Lương  said.
