DREAM OF 2,500 KM EXPRESSWAY IS NOT FAR NOW

The transport sector has mobilized a dream number of 170 trillion VND to invest in dozens of traffic projects and works.

Within a few short years, the transport industry has mobilized a dream figure of up to 170 trillion VND, equivalent to more than 8.5 billion USD to invest in dozens of traffic projects and works.

Only in the first three months of 2015, another 16 trillion dong, accounting for half of the whole year's target, was also successfully mobilized by the Ministry of Transport, a clear proof of that.

Therefore, it is not surprising that even though they are still in the research and preparation stage for investment, 11 highway projects with a total investment of over 100 trillion VND have attracted great attention from enterprises. Even in many projects, investors wait in line to be named. Currently, there are about 40 enterprises registered as investors or in joint ventures ready to implement highway projects when approved by competent authorities.

The reason why businesses are interested in this is analyzed by many experts and these businesses themselves. Because this is not only an effective investment channel, but it also creates a large amount of work for businesses involved in project implementation. Even investors can openly transfer the invested project to another enterprise at a better price than the price paid.

It is also impossible not to mention that the Ministry of Transport has really "rolled out the green carpet" to invite, along with the disclosure and transparency of information about each project that is about to be constructed for businesses to access.

However, whatever the reason, this is a really impressive and remarkable result, especially in the context of very limited budget capital. This also shows that the throughout policy of the Ministry of Transport in mobilizing social capital for investment in transport infrastructure is promoting very practical efficiency.

The head of the transport sector, Minister Dinh La Thang has repeatedly affirmed that in order to develop transport infrastructure, including the investment in the construction of the expressway system, it is impossible to rely on the budget, government bond capital but must mobilize resources for socialization in different forms and methods. This is a mandatory requirement from practice. We carry out the investment project to build the expressway system in accordance with the spirit of the 2013 Constitution. What private businesses and enterprises can do, let them do, while the State only does part of the work. that cannot be done by the private sector.

That also contributes to shortening the route for the transport sector to realize the goal of having 2,500 km of highways by 2020, as committed to the Government and people nationwide.
