After 2 months of redeployment, up to now, the National Highway 46 construction project has been completed and put into use. National Highway 46B construction investment project (section connecting NH46 with NH1 bypass) was started in 2008, with the total investment of the project is 343 billion, by the consortiums of 185 Co., Ltd. and Trung Viet Co., Ltd., Hoa Hiep Co., Ltd. and Phu Nguyen Hai Co.,Ltd.

On behalf of the investor and project construction units, Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky - Director of the Department of Transport said: National Highway 46B is the lifeline, connecting Cua Lo port with the western region of Nghe An. After being put into use, the route not only contributes to reducing traffic jams and shortening the journey from the southwestern region of Nghe An to Cua Lo town, the connection of National Highway 46B with roads such as National Highway 46, National Highway 7 and Ho Chi Minh road has also become a particularly important route in the development of the East-West economic corridor. At the same time, it contributes to promoting the tourism connection between Cua Lo beach resort and Kim Lien relic site, Nam Dan district - President Ho Chi Minh's hometown.

Along with the completion of the National Highway 46B project, Nghe An Department of Transport continues to implement the project of the overpass on Highway 46 with North-South railway and National Highway 1. The project is particularly important in reducing congestion and traffic accidents, and enhancing train safety at this intersection. In addition, the intersection between National Highway 46B and the North-South railway is one of the intersections that have just been approved by the Prime Minister and approved by the Ministry of Transport to set up an investment project in 2014.

When completed, the project will create synchronous connectivity, shortening the journey from the southwestern region of Nghe An to Cua Lo Town

Speaking here, Vice Chairman of the Huynh Thanh Dien Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The completion and operation of the National Highway 46B and the groundbreaking of the National Highway 46 - North-South Railway overpass and National Highway 1 projects is an event of great significance, meeting the expectations of the government and the people of Nghe An province. At the same time, this is also a practical activity to celebrate the 124th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.

Issuing the ground-breaking order for the project, Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho asked the project investor to urgently complete the procedures and speed up the construction work, bring the project to the finish line on schedule, and ensure quality and safety. On the side of the local government, during the construction process, it is necessary to actively support the contractor in site clearance, ensure traffic safety and security.
