Le Van Luong Tunnel Project, Hanoi
The Le Van Luong – Ring Road 3 Underpass Project has a total investment of nearly VND 700 billion. The reinforced concrete underpass was constructed along the Le Van Luong corridor. The total length of the tunnel and approach retaining structures is 475 m, including a 95 m enclosed tunnel section and 380 m of open-cut approaches and retaining structures (190 m on each side).
The cross-section consists of two separate tunnel bores, each 7.75 m wide and accommodating two motor vehicle lanes of 3.5 m each. The open-cut section is also 7.75 m wide in each direction, separated by a 1 m median strip. The project additionally included the widening of Le Van Luong Road over a length of more than 300 m and To Huu Road over approximately 400 m.
The underpass is one of Hanoi’s key transportation projects, aimed at reducing congestion and traffic conflicts at the Le Van Luong – Ring Road 3 intersection while contributing to the progressive completion of the capital’s transportation infrastructure in accordance with the master plan approved by the Prime Minister.
The project was executed by a consortium comprising Cienco4 Group JSC, Fecon JSC and Vinh Hung Trading, Consulting and Construction JSC.
