The Nha Trang – Cam Lam Expressway, part of the North – South Expressway network, officially opened to traffic on May 19, 2023 and was recognized as one of the fastest completed expressway projects in Vietnam. Among its key components, Doc San Tunnel stood out as a remarkable achievement, being completed six months ahead of schedule and demonstrating the construction management capability and technical innovation of Vietnamese contractors.

Located on the 49 km Nha Trang – Cam Lam Expressway, the project has a total investment of VND 7.6 trillion and passes through Dien Khanh District, Cam Lam District, and Cam Ranh City in Khanh Hoa Province. The completion of the tunnel contributed significantly to the early completion of the entire route, reducing travel times and enhancing regional connectivity and tourism development in the South Central Coast region.
