My Thuan 2 Bridge
My Thuan 2 Bridge, spanning the Tien River, was commenced on March 16, 2020, with a total investment exceeding VND 5 trillion. It is a nationally significant project and a special-grade highway bridge designed and constructed by Vietnamese engineers.
The bridge is nearly 2 km long with six traffic lanes and a design speed of 80 km/h. Its main span measures 350 m, supported by two pylons rising more than 120 m above the river. The bridge connects the Trung Luong – My Thuan and My Thuan – Can Tho expressways, linking Vinh Long and Tien Giang provinces. It serves as a critical transportation artery and is among the busiest national highway corridors in the region.
At this project, Vinh Hung supplied bridge bearings, expansion joints, and prestressing concrete cables for construction and installation works. Notably, Vinh Hung manufactured and supplied the entire bridge bearing package for My Thuan 2 Bridge, totaling nearly 1,000 bearings. Among them, the elastomeric bearings installed at the pylons of the cable-stayed bridge were designed to withstand loads of up to 20,000 kN and measured 1,270 × 1,560 × 435 mm.
