Nhon – Hanoi Railway Station Metro Line

The Nhon – Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line is 12.5 km long, comprising 8 elevated stations and 4 underground stations. The elevated section extends 8.5 km from Nhon to Cau Giay, while the underground section runs 4 km from Cau Giay to Hanoi Railway Station.

The route starts at Nhon, follows National Highway 32 through Cau Dien and Mai Dich, passes Ring Road 3 and Cau Giay intersection (Ring Road 2), then continues through Kim Ma, Cat Linh, the Temple of Literature area, and terminates at Hanoi Railway Station on Tran Hung Dao Street.

The project commenced in 2009 and was originally scheduled for completion in 2015 but experienced several delays. The elevated Nhon – Cau Giay section entered commercial operation on August 8, 2024, while the entire line is expected to be completed in 2027. Competing against numerous international contractors, Vinh Hung was selected as the supplier of bridge bearings, prestressing concrete cables, and prestressing anchors for the Nhon – Hanoi Railway Station Metro Line project.
