KEY TRANSPORTATION PROJECT IN LAM DONG PROVINCE USES BRIDGE BEARINGS CERTIFIED WITH VIETNAM NATIONAL BRAND

Pot bearings installed at the Phuoc Cat Bridge project comply with TCVN 12068:2014 and AASHTO LRFD standards (USA).

The five bridges included in Package 07 are: P’Re Bridge, Ba Can Bridge, Phuoc Cat Bridge, Da Nha Bridge, and Da Bo Bridge. As part of this package, Vinh Hung manufactures and supplies pot bearings, in addition to dozens of tons of cables and hundreds of anchor sets, to support the replacement of Phuoc Cat Bridge - a structure spanning the upper Dong Nai River, connecting Cat Tien District (Lam Dong Province) with Bu Dang District (Binh Phuoc Province).

The pot bearings installed at the project have a load capacity of up to 16,000 kN. They are designed and manufactured according to the technical specifications of the project and comply with both TCVN 12068:2014 and AASHTO LRFD (U.S. standards), which require high levels of technical precision, advanced machinery, and skilled workmanship.

These bearings fully meet stringent requirements related to load-bearing capacity, displacement, and rotational movement, and are intelligently designed to facilitate ease of installation and maintenance throughout the bridge’s service life.

To ensure durability and performance, Vinh Hung maintains a rigorous quality control process - beginning with input material inspection and continuing through all stages of production. A dedicated Quality Control Department oversees every aspect of the manufacturing process.

Before being delivered to the construction site, all pot bearing products undergo comprehensive inspection and testing in accordance with project specifications, including vertical compression and horizontal load tests, rotation angle assessments, friction coefficient measurements. These tests are conducted at Vinh Hung IP Factory’s laboratory.

Subsequently, final testing is carried out at an independent laboratory in the presence of representatives from the contractor, supervisory consultant, and investor before the products are handed over for installation. Each product is labeled with a QR Code for traceability.

The investment in building and replacing five weak bridges is a strategic part of Lam Dong Province’s efforts to modernize and synchronize the internal and external transportation system. This initiative creates more favorable conditions for safe and efficient travel, transport of goods, and regional trade, while also contributing to local socio-economic growth and strengthening national defense and security.
