My Thuan Bridge is a bridge spanning the Tien River and connecting two provinces, Tien Giang and Vinh Long. The bridge is located on National Highway 1A, 125km from Ho Chi Minh City. This is the first cable-stayed bridge in our country.

My Thuan Bridge started construction in the summer of 1997 and was officially inaugurated 3 years later - in 2000. My Thuan bridge has a total length of more than 1.5km, nearly 24m wide. Two access bridges on each side have 11 spans. The clearance height is about 37.5m.

After more than 20 years of being put into operation, the building has shown many signs of damage. Specifically, the modular expansion joint on the rail is rusted, the waterproof rubber trough has deteriorated, and several bridge bearings have been displaced...

This type of modular expansion joint manufactured and installed by Vinh Hung for the project has a total displacement of 800mm, making it one of the expansion joints with the largest total displacement in Vietnam to date. Therefore, the project requires the contractor to meet strict requirements on capacity and experience. Vinh Hung is proud to be a prestigious unit selected to execute this item.

During the installation process, the project management encountered many difficulties due to the influence of the Covid 19 epidemics. However, overcoming those obstacles, with the determination to bring the project to the finish line on schedule, after nearly 3 months, Vinh Hung completed the project at the end of December 2021.

This is one of Vinh Hung's typical projects in 2021, a project that helps Vinh Hung mark its name and continue to affirm its brand through key projects throughout the country.
