The Chi Thanh – Van Phong Expressway has a total length of more than 48 km, beginning at the Chi Thanh interchange (Tuy An Bac Commune) connecting to the Quy Nhon – Chi Thanh Expressway. The project endpoint is located at the National Highway 1 interchange (Hoa Xuan Commune), linking with the Deo Ca Tunnel and the Van Phong – Nha Trang Expressway. The project has a total investment of nearly VND 11 trillion and commenced construction in early 2023.

The expressway passes through mountainous areas with complex geological conditions, posing potential risks of landslides and rockfalls during prolonged heavy rainfall. Within the project, Vinh Hung served as the supplier and contractor for slope reinforcement works at multiple locations with rockfall risks along the route in order to enhance infrastructure safety. Specifically, high-strength steel mesh systems combined with shear connectors were applied at sections Km02+760 – Km02+880, Km15+517.80 – Km15+642.15, and Km16+320.80 – Km16+630. In addition, a 2000 kJ flexible rockfall barrier system was installed at Km38+215 – Km38+385 to prevent large rocks and weathered rock masses from rolling or falling onto the roadway, ensuring traffic safety along the route.
