Handrails
Handrails are external components installed along the edges of bridges, including highway bridges, overpasses, and similar structures. They serve to guide traffic, prevent traffic accidents, and protect pedestrians and vehicles from falling off the bridge, while also enhancing the overall aesthetics of the structure.
Product Features
The products are designed in compliance with the following standards:
- American Standard – AASHTO LRFD (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials LRFD)
- European Standard – EN 1317: Road Restraint Systems
- Vietnamese Standard – TCVN 11823-13:2017: Highway Bridge Design
Material standards for product components:
- Steel pipes: Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A53/A106 or equivalent standards.
- Structural steel: Manufactured in accordance with JIS G3101 – SS400, ASTM A36, or equivalent standards.
- Bolts: Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A307 Grade A, ASTM F3125 Grade A325, DIN 931, or equivalent standards.
- The products are hot-dip galvanized in accordance with ASTM A123.
- Bolts are hot-dip galvanized in accordance with ASTM A153.
- All welding works are carried out by certified welders in accordance with AASHTO/AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.3 (Structural Welding Codes).
