Gantry Structures and Columns
A gantry structure is a steel structure spanning across the roadway, equipped with an access walkway and mounted traffic signs above. The structure is designed to withstand the weight of the signboards as well as wind loads in accordance with the specified regional requirements.
Gantry columns are installed along road shoulders, sidewalks, or median strips, with a minimum clearance of 0.5 m from the outer edge of the roadway.

Structural components:
- Columns: Fabricated from steel pipes or structural steel sections connected by welding and bolted connections to form a truss system.
- Gantry structure: Fabricated from steel pipes or structural steel sections connected by welding and bolted connections to form a truss system integrated with an orthotropic deck platform.
- Ladders: Fabricated from steel sections or steel plates connected by welding.
Materials:
- Steel pipes: Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A53/A106 or equivalent standards.
- Steel plates: Manufactured in accordance with JIS G3101 – SS400, ASTM A36, or equivalent standards.
- Bolts: Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A307 Grade A, ASTM F3125 Grade A325, DIN 931, or equivalent standards.
- The products are hot-dip galvanized in accordance with ASTM A123.
- Bolts are hot-dip galvanized in accordance with ASTM A153.
- All welding works are performed by certified welders in accordance with AASHTO/AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.3 standards (Structural Welding Codes).
