OFFICIALLY OPEN TO TRAFFIC ON VINH HAO – PHAN THIET AND NHA TRANG – CAM LAM EXPRESSWAY

Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway is over 49 km long, with construction starting in September 2021 and a total budget of over 7,600 billion VND. In the initial period, the project features a 4-lane road, starting in Dien Tho commune, Dien Khanh district, and ending in Cam Thinh Tay commune, Cam Ranh city. In the completed period, the road will be 32 meters wide with 6 lanes, including two emergency lanes.

The expressway has a total of 25 bridges, including 10 cross-over bridges. Each bridge has a width ranging from 5 to 12 meters depending on the connecting road. Doc San Tunnel, with an investment capital of 1,200 billion VND, is considered the most crucial link on the North-South expressway route.

This tunnel is part of the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway project, featuring two parallel completed tunnels with a total length of 1,480 meters, each tunnel being over 700 meters long.

Accompanying the project, Vĩnh Hưng carried out the waterproofing construction for Doc San Tunnel. Waterproofing the tunnel is a crucial task to ensure the safety and sustainability of the entire structure after it is put into operation. Under the supervision of a highly skilled management team, always emphasizing discipline and solidarity, Vinh Hung successfully completed this component of the project according to the designated schedule and plan.

Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway is located about 80 km south of the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway, spanning over 100 km with a total investment of 10,853 billion VND. The construction of this expressway started in September 2020.

This route passes through four districts: Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, and Ham Thuan Nam. Along the way, it comes through vast fields of dragon fruit - a characteristic fruit of Binh Thuan province.

The route traverses diverse and complex terrains such as hills, sand fields, streams, and irrigation channels,... Particularly, in the initial section at Vinh Hao commune (Tuy Phong district), the construction team had to cut through mountains to build the expressway.

Apart from commercially supplying products like bridge bearings and expansion joints for the project, Vinh Hung also implemented a new technological solution called Rock slope stabilization solution to prevent rockfall along the stretch from Km134+00 to Km54+00 to ensure the safety of this roadway.

The Ministry of Transport has announced that in the recent period, project management boards, investors, contractors, along with thousands of officials, and workers have made great efforts to overcome numerous difficulties. They worked tirelessly, nevertheless days and nights, weekends, and holidays, with a determination to ensure the operation of the two projects on May 19 (the 133rd anniversary of President Hồ Chí Minh's birthday).

Specifically, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam project successfully shortened the time for operation by 3 months compared to the plan, maintaining the investor's Public-Private Partnership (PPP) commitment to the Prime Minister.
