LE VAN LUONG UNDERGROUND TUNNEL OPENNED TO TRAFFIC

In the morning October 5, the Le Van Luong – Ring Road No. 3 underground tunnel officially opened to traffic. The project is expected to address traffic congestion in Le Van Luong – To Huu – Ring Road No. 3. Vinh Hung Trading, Consulting and Construction honored to be contractor for the waterproof section of the project.

7am October 5, the opening ceremony of Le Van Luong underground tunnel was held at the open tunnel area in To Huu street. The event was held to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2022)

Le Van Luong underground tunnel was started construction in October 2020. The construction contractor was joint venture of Cienco 4 Corporation JSC – Fecon JSC – Vinh Hung JSC.

The 475m tunnel, the fourth of its kind in the city, is located at the intersection of Le Van Luong, Khuat Duy Tien and To Huu streets. Before that, Kim Lien – Xa Dan underground tunnel was inaugurated in 2009, connecting Tran Khat Chan street and Kim Lien street, Xa Dan belonging to Ring Road no.1. The underground tunnel Trung Hoa connecting Tran Duy Hung street with Thang Long avenue and the underground tunnel Thanh Xuan Intersection of Nguyen Trai Street and Ring Road no.3 were both inaugurated in 2016.

Participating in the inauguration, Vinh Hung Trading, Consulting and Construction JSC honored to be contractor for the waterproof section of the project.

The Le Van Luong tunnel was opened to traffic right after the inauguration, transportation easily passed through the tunnel

After opening to traffic, this intersection has a total of 10 lanes instead of 8 lanes as current, in the direction Le Van Luong street – To Huu street and vice versa.

According to information from a representative of the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, under the direction of the city, the contractor has accelerated the construction progress, soon solved the traffic jam and put the underground tunnel, completed the project earlier than expected on October 5.
