CAM LAM - VINH HAO EXPRESSWAY READY TO OPEN FOR TRAFFIC - VINH HUNG SUPPLIES NEARLY 1,200 POT BEARINGS AND 1,400 METERS OF EXPANSION JOINTS.

Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway, invested by Deo Ca Group - Company 194 joint venture, with a total investment of 8.925 trillion VND, was commenced construction in September 2021 and is intended for completion on April 30th, 2024.

The expressway has a scope of four lanes, with two lanes on each side, allowing vehicles to travel at a maximum speed of 90 km/h and a minimum speed of 60 km/h.

After completion, it will connect the final section to form a complete highway directly linking Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang.

Vinh Hung has provided nearly 1,200 pcs pot bearings and 1,400 meters expansion joints.

From 2023 until now, Vinh Hung has completed the supply of nearly 1,200 pcs pot bearings and 1,400 meters expansion joints for Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway project, manufactured at Vinh Hung IP factory.

Additionally, Vinh Hung supplied cable system and prestressed anchorage system, expansion joint, and Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls for this project.

Vinh Hung's products are manufactured by highly skilled engineers and workers.

The welding personnel are evaluated and recognized by the American Welding Society (AWS) according to AWS standards, and the non-destructive testing (NDT) personnel meet ISO 9712 standards.

During each production stage, from checking raw materials to finished products, quality control measures are strictly carried out by Vinh Hung quality control team.

Moreover, many critical product indicators are tested in the specialized laboratory of Vinh Hung IP factory and the materials and equipment testing laboratory of the National Institute of Mechanical and Automation Technology under the Ministry of Transport.

Impressive features of Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway:

The fourth longest tunnel in the country.

The most significant component of Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway project is Vung mountain tunnel. Vung mountain tunnel has a length of 2.25 kilometers and consists of two tunnel tubes.

Each tunnel tube has a scope of three lanes, with a width of 14 meters. Vung mountain tunnel was opened to traffic in August 2023. It is the longest tunnel on the North - South expressway and the fourth longest tunnel in Vietnam.

Solar energy application

Along the road, ITS equipment and cameras use solar power which is provided from solar panels. The road surface is paved smoothly, with white lane markings dividing lanes, and anti-glare iron mesh panels are installed on the median strip for night driving.

The highest mountain viaduct on the route

Bridge No. 3 - Km60 with height of 47 m and a length of 894 m makes it as the highest bridge on Cam Lam - Vinh Hao route, connecting Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces.

Scenic wind farm

The section is in the northern part of Ninh Thuan province, connecting to Cam Lam - Nha Trang expressway (Khanh Hoa).

The expressway passes through a wind farm in rice field locating in the mountainous region of Thuan Bac district, forming a unique lanscape for the route. 

The area situated at the beginning of Ninh Thuan province, adjacent Khanh Hoa, has many hills and mountains. Therefore, constructing section through this terrain required mountain excavation, with some segments having slopes and curves following the terrain of the route.
