Le Van Luong – Ring Road No.3 Tunnel was commenced
The tunnel has a reinforced concrete structure. It is built directly in the direction of Le Van Luong street. The total length of the tunnel and the barrier at both ends is 475 m, of which the closed tunnel is 95 m long, the open tunnel and the barrier leading to the closed tunnel is 380 m long (each side is 190 m).
The cross-section consists of 2 separate tunnels, each tunnel is 7.75 m wide, including two 3.5m wide motorized lanes. Each open tunnel section has a width of 7.75 m. It is separated two ways by a 1m wide divider one meter.
The construction unit also cuts 300m of roadside to extend Le Van Luong street and 400m of roadside to extend To Huu road.
The contractor of the project is the venture of Cienco4 Group - Fecon Corporation – Trading, Consulting and Construction Joint Stock Company
The tunnel is one of the key projects of Hanoi city to resolve congestion at the intersection of Le Van Luong - Ring Road No.3. Moreover, it will take a part in completing the traffic infrastructure of the capital according to the plan approved by the Prime Minister.
In order for ensuring the progress and quality of the project, Chairman Chu Ngoc Anh asked the investor - Hanoi project management unit of transport construction works - to coordinate closely with departments. Departments regularly inspect and promptly solve arising problems, ensure labor safety.
"In particular, the process of construction must ensure traffic safety, environmental sanitation, minimize the impact on people's lives in the area; pay attention traffic organization" Mr. Ngoc Anh said.
According to Director of Hanoi project management unit of transport construction works - Pham Hoang Tuan - the project is difficult and complicated because of constructing a lot of items at a time such as building technical infrastructure, supporting and organizing intersections. assigning, moving and protecting underground and floating works such as underground electric systems.
In addition, the construction units must build transformer stations to supply electricity to the tunnel's drainage pumping station; moving communication cables of 19 agencies; water supply lines on the route (D800, D400, D200, D150, service pipes connecting to people's houses).
Mr. Tuan assessed that the project, after completion, will form a 3-storey intersection (tunnel, ground and overpass bridge), contribute to reducing congestion and create a clean and beautiful urban landscape.
The venture of Cienco4 Group - Fecon Corporation – Trading, Consulting and Construction Joint Stock Company is the construction unit of this key project.
