Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project uses 30,000 KN pot bearings manufactured by Vinh Hung

Pot bearings were designed and manufactured to fully meet the requirements of the projects, including:

Certificate of Origin (CO) and Certificate of Quality (CQ) to prove the origin and quality of the products.
Certificate of Conformity issued by QUACERT - under the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality.
Certificate of Conformity for VHB pot bearings.
Pot bearings equipped with displacement gauges.

In addition, Vinh Hung's products were certified by Bureau Veritas - the world's leading certification bodies and also meet other strict requirements of the project, including:
ISO 9001:2015
ISO 3834 (Certification of Welding Quality System)
EN 1090-2 Execution 3 (European Standards for Steel Structures)
Long term damage assessment test reports for pot bearings (1000-cycle friction coefficient test, 5000-cycle rotation angle test)

Product quality is placed first and foremost in the production process of 30,000 KN pot bearings

From the stage of input material inspection to the manufacturing, finishing and packaging stage, all are subject to the quality management system by a specialized team of Vinh Hung IP Factory. This is to ensure that all 30,000 KN pot bearing products used for Thanh An Bridge could meet the highest quality standards and the strict requirements of the project.

After completion, all pot bearings must undergo the rigorous inspection and testing procedures in the laboratory of the factory. The testing process is directly conducted by Vinh Hung's team of engineers, following the popular standards such as AASHTO LRFD (USA), AASHTO M25, TCVN 10269, and supervised by a third-party designated by the contractor.

The products are not only tested in Vinh Hung IP Factory but are also sent to an independent laboratory for full test reports in the presence of the contractor's representative, supervisory consultant and investor before being handed over to the project and put into installation.

The Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section of Ho Chi Minh Road, is a part of the North - South Expressway (Western side) project with a length of 72.75km. This route begins in Tru Van Pho commune (Bau Hang district, Binh Duong province) and ends at the intersection with National Highway N2 (now Ho Chi Minh Road, Duc Hoa district, Long An province), with a total investment of more than VND 2,292 billion from the state budget.

According to the Ministry of Transport, although the Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section is initially being constructed with only two lanes, the project will be expanded to six lanes in the future to meet the standards of expressway. This will not only significantly improve transportation infrastructure but also stimulate socio - economic development of the Southern provinces.
