Trip of emotions

The third stage of the volunteer program took place in the atmosphere no less urgently than two stages before storm No.8 and No.9 continuously landed in the central provinces. Immediately in the morning of October 30, the charity team was present in Loc Thuy commune, directly with local officials to visit and give gifts to families with extremely difficult circumstances in the commune.

Mrs. Le Thi Chien's family is in hamlet 6, Tuy Loc village. She alone raises 6 grandchildren. The flood that rose more than 2 meters swept everything away. Now, 7 grandchildren just can hold on to live day by day.

Mr. Hac's family in An Xa village. Fields and wealth were lost. Floodwaters turned the house into an oasis.

Mrs. Duong Thi Hong's family, hamlet 3, Tuy Loc village. Both mother and daughter are disabled. Her daughter is now 28 years old, but stunted, weak health, unable to work due to being immersed in floodwater since she was only 2 weeks old.

Each family has different circumstances, but they all share an unprecedented pain of loss. The fields were lost, the houses were ruined, devastated, all of them started all over again from scratch.

Seeing firsthand the consequences that the flood left behind, listening to the stories of people's traumatic losses, is unprecedented experiences of our member's team. Now we understand what compassion is, what deplore is.

Our team visited the house of General Vo Nguyen Giap. The general's house was also flooded more than 2 meters, the entrance to the house was also blocked by floodwater and only withdrawn the night before.

Responsibility & love for the people

With enthusiastic help and responsibility from local officials, 1259 gifts including cash and in-kind were given to each family in Loc Thuy commune.

The 10 tons of relief goods including basic necessities, new clothes sponsored by the government, and the people of Ta Lung town were divided into each gift set, suitable for each family's situation.

Although they are still living in a very difficult situation after the flood, the smile of optimism has not disappeared on the lips of the people here.

The gift donation was organized in a regular manner, avoiding mistakes and duplication.

Our charity team "Sending love to the Central" believes that all the gifts are given to citizens of Le Thuy, Quang Binh province will be both material and spiritual power to help people here to overcome difficulties and losses, continue to stabilize life after the disaster.
