VINH HUNG FEATURED IN VTV1'S “VIETNAM VALUE” REPORTAGE: FROM MASTERING TECHNOLOGY TO PIONEERING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE RAILWAY INDUSTRY
“Vietnam Value” on VTV1
Vietnam Value is a unique, long-term, and comprehensive national trade promotion program focused on building and developing national brands through enterprise product branding. Initiated in 2003, it is led by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, under the direction of the Prime Minister, in coordination with relevant ministries and sectors.
Vietnam Value is not only a prestigious title but also a benchmark of an enterprise’s reputation and market position. Based on strict criteria around quality, innovation, creativity, and pioneering capacity, the program recognized only 190 outstanding enterprises out of more than 1,000 applicants in 2024. Remarkably, for the first time, Vietnam’s transport mechanical industry was represented among the honorees, with Vinh Hung Trading, Consulting and Construction Joint Stock Company earning this prestigious recognition.

To enhance the program’s impact, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1320/QD-TTg, approving the Vietnam National Quality Program to 2030, and Decision No. 30/2019/QD-TTg, promulgating the regulations for development, management, and implementation of the program.
The “Vietnam Value” segment on VTV1 is one of the initiatives under this directive, jointly produced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Television (VTV). As a flagship political-news channel, VTV1 plays a vital role in national communications, tasked with delivering key policy information, shaping public opinion, and highlighting strategic developments.
With modern, multi-dimensional storytelling and trustworthy, timely reporting, the Vietnam Value segment brings audiences closer to the inspiring journeys of enterprises striving to develop leading products, achieve industry leadership, and earn recognition as prestigious national brands.
It also showcases the innovation and adaptability of Vietnamese enterprises in the modern era—helping consumers identify trustworthy, high-quality local products and boosting public confidence in domestic goods.
Vinh Hung: Anticipating Market Trends, Leading with Technology
In an era of deep international integration, technology localization has become essential for Vietnamese enterprises to reduce dependence on imports and improve competitiveness. For companies recognized under the Vietnam Value program, localization is not just a goal - it’s a core strategy that optimizes costs and creates lasting competitive advantages.
The Vietnamese government has approved the National Railway Network Plan for 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050. By 2030, the goal is to modernize existing rail lines and construct key new ones - such as the North - South High-Speed Railway and connections to seaports, industrial zones, and international border gates. By 2050, Vietnam aims to have a modern, integrated national railway network that meets growing demand for passenger and cargo transport.
A top priority is the North - South High-Speed Railway, designed for speeds up to 350 km/h, significantly shortening travel time between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Other important inter-regional routes, such as Hanoi - Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho, are also being developed to form a cohesive and efficient transportation network. At the same time, major cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are accelerating investment in urban rail systems.
These developments represent a golden opportunity for transport mechanical enterprises to enter the supply chain—but they also demand breakthroughs in technology and product quality. Facing this challenge, Vinh Hung has rapidly adopted a comprehensive innovation strategy, positioning itself not just to participate but to lead the industry’s transformation.
In an interview with VTV, Mr. Vo Ta Luong – General Director of Vinh Hung Trading, Consulting and Construction Joint Stock Company – shared: “Vinh Hung continuously invests in research and development, taking proactive steps to anticipate future market needs. We deliver products that ensure safety and quality, while also helping reduce construction costs. For high-tech products that Vietnam has not yet produced domestically for the railway industry, Vinh Hung is negotiating with leading global corporations for technology transfer, with the goal of localizing production.”
