VINH HUNG CELEBRATES AN EXCITING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY ON MARCH 8
From determined business "warriors" and passionate finance experts to creative, hardworking marketers and thoughtful, dedicated HR specialists, our female team members contribute to the colorful mosaic that drives Vinh Hung’s mission of “connecting the roads.”
The International Women’s Day celebration has become a cherished annual tradition at Vinh Hung, reflecting the company’s care and appreciation for its female staff. But thanks to the meticulous, heartfelt preparations, and the Organizing Committee’s determination to keep everything under wraps until the very last minute, the event still managed to surprise and delight.
From the early morning of March 8, our ladies were warmly greeted by a special “character”: the adorable and friendly “Baby Three,” charmingly portrayed by a male colleague. The festive mood continued with the interactive activity “Unboxing – Scratch & Win”, and the fun-filled mini-game “Searching for Your Other Half.” These brought laughter, bonding, and a meaningful sense of appreciation to a day dedicated to women.
International Women’s Day traces its origins to the late 19th century, beginning with the movement of female textile workers in the United States demanding better working conditions and rights. On March 8, 1857, textile workers in New York City rose up against harsh and exploitative labor conditions.
In 1910, the International Socialist Women’s Congress in Copenhagen (Denmark) officially designated March 8 as “International Women’s Day,” a global day of solidarity and advocacy under the slogan: 8-hour workday - Equal work, equal pay - Protection for mothers and children. Since then, March 8 has become a universal day of recognition, appreciation, and continued struggle for the rights of working women across the world.
