On August 15, 2015, after nearly a year of efforts to build and operate the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2008, Vinh Hung was officially assessed for the quality management system and certified the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2008 by Bureau Veritas. However, in the context of extremely fierce competition and increasingly high customer requirements today, with the ambition to occupy the largest market share in Vietnam in the field of trade, consulting, and construction, Vinh Hung must constantly improve the quality of products and services ... And the key issue is the actions to prevent and overcome the risks that occur in our step, thereby the business results will then be maximized, Vinh Hung's prestige and brand will always be trusted and reach further.

To solve this problem, Vinh Hung ISO board cooperated with Bureau Veritas to organize a training course to upgrade the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 on April 17-18, 2017.

The training course with the participation of employees from departments working at the head office, branches, representative offices and Vinh Hung Investment and Production Co., Ltd.

What is ISO 9001:2015? What are the highlights compared to the ISO 9001:2008 version? How to apply ISO 9001:2015 in business operations? Answering these questions, speaking at the opening of the course, Ms. Tran Thi Lan Phuong – assistant to the Board of Directors – Deputy Director of ISO department, highlighted the outstanding features of ISO 9001: 2015 in the activities of enterprises today:

In Vietnam, there is an idiom " Be careful not to feel guilty" and the proverb "failure is the mother of success", with ISO 9001:2015, the preventive action is to detect potential nonconformities and provide solutions, in order to prevent nonconformities from occurring. Learning from experience and preventing incidents from occurring are guided according to the requirements of improving corrective actions and risk prevention actions. Without action to improve, the system is considered to be missing an important and complete part.

Currently, Vinh Hung is still improving regulatory processes in parallel with the company's activities, but this work has not been permanent, and has not yet established an "error data bank" stored into the system in documents, from which to build a "bank of preventive measures", so in many cases, it is still not possible to avoid or minimize risks. ISO board wishes that this course will be an effective tool to improve Vinh Hung's operations, in the current globalized economy, "no improvement means deterioration", if there are no effective improvement activities, it is not known what will happen to the business in the near future.

In any business activity, from micro to macro, and even in the daily activities of every employee, there is a need to approach the cycle: plan, do check, act… (PDCA). Through training materials and professional-pedagogical methods, Bureau Veritas instructors have shown students that ISO 9001: 2015 is an effective tool to complete the final stage of this cycle, accompanied by exercises. For Vinh hung staff to participate in training so that departments can grasp the content and spirit of the course right in the classroom.

In order to continuously progress to success, Vinh Hung must have a record of prevention activities, access to quantitative and qualitative supporting tools, in order to calculate the exact costs of damage including visible costs and hidden costs of quality. In order to take preventive action in business operations and business strategic planning, Vinh Hung needs to apply tools such as Benchmarking and SWOT matrix.
