Vinh Hung - Proud to be "Vietnam's National Brand"

The announcement ceremony for the "Vietnam National Brand" was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, along with several other ministers, deputy ministers, department and sector leaders, certified enterprise representatives, news agencies, and media.
The "Vietnam National Brand" program is not an award; rather, it is a unique, long-term trade promotion initiative by the Vietnamese government, approved by the Prime Minister and led by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with other ministries and sectors. The program aims to enhance business reputation in the market and supports trade promotion, particularly for export expansion.
Products recognized as a "Vietnam National Brand" undergo a rigorous, strict, and transparent selection process defined by a clear set of criteria. Registered applications are evaluated based on three criteria: Quality - Innovation - Pioneering Capacity.
In 2024, over 1,000 businesses submitted applications to participate in the program. After the initial screening, applications were reviewed by the Expert Committee, which included representatives from various ministries, sectors, and leading independent experts in various fields. The evaluations were based on stringent brand assessment criteria, similar to those used for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in the United States.
The final decisions were made by the "National Brand Council," consisting of 22 ministers and leaders from various departments and sectors. On October 21, 2024, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien signed Decision No. 2776/QĐ-BCT, officially recognizing the enterprises and products that achieved the "Vietnam National Brand" status. Out of more than 1,000 applicants that applied, only 190 businesses nationwide were certified.
Since the "Vietnam National Brand" program’s inception in 2008 through its ninth cycle in 2024, Vinh Hung has been the only company in the transportation engineering sector to be honored by the government with this prestigious title.
