Why Is Vinh Hung the Only Enterprise in the Traffic Mechanical Industry to Achieve the "Vietnam National Brand" Certification?

The "Vietnam National Brand" is more than just an   accolade - it serves as a benchmark for the company’s reputation and market standing. As the only trade promotion program initiated by the Vietnamese government, it enforces rigoroevaluation criteria focused on quality, innovation, and pioneering capabilities. In 2024, out of over 1,000 applications, only 190 companies were honored. Notably, for the first time, a representative from Vietnam's traffic mechanical industry was among them, which is Vinh Hung Trading, Consulting, and Construction Joint Stock Company. But what has secured Vinh Hung as one of the winners in this competition?

Pioneer to Transform the Traffic Mechanical Industry

Before 2014, Vietnam’s traffic mechanical industry mainly relied on imported products. By localizing production and launching its own manufacturing facilities in 2014, Vinh Hung was the pioneer to lay the foundation for an independent and thriving domestic industry.

Vinh Hung was the first comndpany in Vietnam capable of producing bridge bearings, expansion joints, noise barriers, and steel structures that meet international staards and are successfully exported globally.

Through relentless innovation, the company has developed a range of branded products, including: VHB bearings, VHC spherical bearings, VSR rubber bearings, VHF toothed expansion joints, noise barriers, etc. These products now hold over 70% of the domestic market share and are exported to five Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, and Indonesia. Notably, Vinh Hung has supplied and installed products for over 1,000 projects domestically and internationally, including more than 40 key expressway routes. Vinh Hung is also the first Vietnamese company to produce and export bridge bearings with a load capacity of up to 34,500kN according to the AASHTO LRFD standard of the United States to the Philippines.

These remarkable achievements have positioned Vinh Hung among 35 pioneering companies in Vietnam to receive premium support from the USAID “Improving Private Sector Competitiveness” (IPSC) project. This initiative, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development and managed by Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment, aims to strengthen the “Made by Vietnam” brand in both domestic and global markets.

It can be said that Vinh Hung's success is not only a pride of the company but also a significant milestone in the development journey of Vietnam’s traffic mechanical industry, serving as proof of the aspiration to assert the position of the Vietnamese brand on the world map.

Stringent Quality Management to International Standards

Earning the "Vietnam National Brand" certification required years of dedication to building a comprehensive quality management system and delivering exceptional value in every product and service.

Vinh Hung adheres to modern management systems, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 3834, EN 1090, ISO 14001:2015. Additionally, its products meet rigorous global standards such as: AASHTO LRFD - Section 18 and Section 19, ASTM 5212-03, TCVN 10268:2014, TCVN 13067:2020, etc.

A key differentiator in Vinh Hung’s manufacturing process is its adoption of the Japanese Monozukuri philosophy, which emphasizes continuous improvement, waste reduction, efficiency optimization. By implementing lean production principles, Vinh Hung ensures strict quality control from design through every stage of production. These rigorous standards have not only strengthened Vinh Hung's position in the domestic market but also facilitated expansion into regional and global markets.

Continuous Innovation and Creativity

Vietnam’s traffic sector is expected to boom between 2025 and 2030, with major infrastructure projects such as the North -South high-speed rail, urban railways, and large-scale roadworks. This presents both opportunities and challenges, requiring technological breakthroughs and enhanced product quality. Vinh Hung has proactively implemented a comprehensive innovation strategy, enabling it to lead in exploiting these promising opportunities rather than just entering the market. The company has sent delegations to France, the U.S., China, Germany, and Japan to learn and adopt cutting-edge technologies, while localizing international technology solutions to better suit Vietnam’s infrastructure needs. Vinh Hung also has formed joint ventures and strategic partnerships to expand its international cooperation network.
