PSS cable system
PSS cable system (cable bundle includes parallel cable strands)
Cable bundles consisting of parallel cable strands (galvanized with HDPE or epoxy coated) installed in the construction site.
Using filled epoxy strands according to ASTM A882 or galvanized cable strand which was coated with HDPE.

Physical properties:
Modulus of elasticity: E = 195 Gpa,
Tensile strength: Fpu = 1860 or 1960 Mpa.
Satisfying fatigue requirements of FIB, PIT and SETRA: Fatigue test 2 million times with yield stress amplitude of 200MPa.
Advantages:
- Large redundancy of large cable systems, because the system consists of independent parallel cable strands together.
- The repair, maintenance, replacement are easy when an incident occurs, can replace each cable strand.
- For small and short cable bundles, the construction is relatively easy due to the need for few construction machines and tools.
Application:
- Cables for stayed- cable bridges, extradosed bridges.
