Construction commenced on September 25, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>According to the approved design, the underpass follows Thong Nhat Road and includes two motor vehicle lanes and two mixed-traffic lanes, with a total route length of 495 m. The tunnel is 12.7 m wide, with 5.5 m-wide frontage roads on each side.<\/p>\n<p>The intersection of Thong Nhat Road and Viet Bac Road is crossed by the Hanoi &#8211; Thai Nguyen railway line. Due to the high traffic volume passing through this location, congestion frequently occurred.
