To meet transportation needs, Phase 1 of the project has the scope of four lanes, 2 lanes on each side, with a width of 17 m, allowing vehicles to travel at a maximum speed of 90 km\/h and a minimum speed of 60 km\/h.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br\/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br\/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project has a total investment of more than VND 11,150 billion, with approximately VND 5,090 billion mobilized by the investor and more than VND 6,060 billion from the State.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br\/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br\/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">30 km of the road from Dien Chau district to the National Route 46B intersection, passing through Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen district was open to traffic on April 28, 2024. As a large area of weak ground required time for settlement, the remaining 19 km (from National Highway 46B intersection to the end of National Route 8A intersection) is now completed with its main route and put into operation from June 30, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" height=\"453\" src=\"https:\/\/vinhhung.webcanhcam.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20240629174253-0c2a1579-9275.jpg\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" width=\"645\"\/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Mr. Le Anh Tuan &#8211; Deputy Minister of Transport at the ceremony<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Transport, Le Anh Tuan stated: &#8220;This is the final piece that marks the completion of all 11 sub-projects of the North-South Expressway project (Eastern section) in the 2017-2021 period, which is nearly 653 km long.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The construction of Dien Chau &#8211; Bai Vot Expressway had to face difficulties due to terrain, weather, and the lack of material resources. However, with the involvement of the government, ministries, and authorities of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, the problems have been resolved. The construction contractors overcame difficulties and worked through the Lunar New Year to complete the project as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding Dien Chau &#8211; Bai Vot Expressway project, Vinh Hung has supplied approximately 1,800 bridge bearings, including pot bearings and rubber bearings. Besides, Vinh Hung has also provided nearly 600 meters of finger expansion joints, more than 100 tons of prestressed cables and prestressed anchor system for the project.<\/p>\n<p><span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" caption=\"false\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/vinhhung.webcanhcam.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/chong_tham_ham_than_vu.jpg\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" width=\"700\"\/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Vinh Hung is implementing the waterproof system for Than Vu Tunnel<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Remarkably, with the in-depth experience in water-proofing for a variety of projects, including road tunnels, mountain tunnels, and metro tunnels, Vinh Hung was trusted and chosen as the contractor to implement the waterproofing project for Than Vu tunnel. The tunnel has the complex geological foundation with severely weathered rocks.<\/p>\n<p>Than Vu tunnel is identified as one of the most challenging and complicated projects among all mountain tunnels of the North &#8211; South Expressway. This is also the largest waterproofing project that Vinh Hung has ever implemented, with a waterproofing volume of 2.3 km (65,000 m\u00b2) on both left and right branches.<\/p>\n<p>The waterproofing system is installed to prevent the infiltration of groundwater into the tunnel lining structure, ensuring the safety of electrical equipment and traffic control equipment and extending the lifespan of the construction. Tunnel waterproofing system, installed between sprayed concrete and tunnel lining concrete, includes 2 layers: the outer one is the non-woven geotextile and the inner one is a sheet waterproofing membrane.<\/p>\n<p>Once the Dien Chau &#8211; Bai Vot Expressway is officially open to traffic, allowed vehicles (at a maximum speed of 90 km\/h and a minimum speed of 60 km\/h) include: cars, buses, \u2264 10 ton trucks, motorcycles, specialized motorbikes with a speed of \u2264 70 km\/h, rudimentary vehicles and pedestrians.<\/p>\n<p>By September 30, this expressway section will begin collecting toll fees, ranging from VND 1,700 to 4,900 per kilometer.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Jun 30, 2024, the last 19 km of Dien Chau &#8211; Bai Vot Expressway was completed and opened to traffic.
