Vinh Hung has successfully completed tensioning all 112 cable-stayed cables at towers P19 and P20.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is a national key infrastructure project, crucial for enhancing traffic connectivity between Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces, and for reducing traffic pressure on the existing Rach Mieu Bridge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Construction of the project began in March 2022 and was initially planned for completion in early 2026. However, following an on-site inspection, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the project be completed ahead of schedule in time for Vietnam\u2019s National Day on September 2. As of now, the project has reached 85% completion, exceeding the planned progress by more than 5.04% overall, with the main bridge section alone exceeding progress by over 15%.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this project, Vinh Hung supplied and constructed 471.8 tons of cable-stayed cables at towers P19 and P20. These towers, designed in an H-shape, are built using reinforced and prestressed concrete on bored pile foundations, with each tower supported by 24 piles, measuring 2 meters in diameter and 80 meters in length. All 112 cable bundles, using parallel strand system (PSS) cables with 31 to 55 strands per bundle, have been successfully tensioned.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the closing ceremony, Vinh Hung will continue with the installation of shock absorbers, final tension adjustments to the cable bundles, cable cutting, injection of sealant (grouting) at anchor ends. All of these final works are scheduled for completion by June 30, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the latest plan, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge will be officially inaugurated before September 2, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vinh Hung is accelerating the Phuoc An cable-stayed bridge<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n

In parallel with the Rach Mieu 2 project, Vinh Hung is also accelerating the Phuoc An cable-stayed bridge construction. To date, 22 out of 48 saddles have been successfully installed. It is expected that by the end of May 2025, all saddles at towers T38 and T39 on the main span will be completed. On April 19, 2025, representatives from Vinh Hung Company attended the closing ceremony of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project, organized by the Ministry of Construction in coordination with the People\u2019s Committees of Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces.
